Award-winning acoustic duo to perform at Gavioli on Tuesday, July 8th



Award-winning singer/songwriters Dave Falk and Lisa Housman make up the acoustic duo "Sweet Wednesday", delivering tales that are melodic, comic, and touching, with acoustic guitar, harmonica, and astounding harmonies.

First Place Winners of both the Great American and the Dallas Songwriting Contests, Falk and Housman honed their craft in the subways of Boston, which inspired them with its many colorful characters and offbeat tips, including a blue rose, a tropical plant, and numerous notes and poems.



The duo has toured in England, Ireland, Holland, Belgium, and across the U.S. Currently, they are touring in support of their newest release "Wherever You Go", which features backing performances by roots rock/alt country legends the Swinging Steaks.

Characters that make appearances in Sweet Wednesday's songs include a grandmother with a secret crush on James Bond, a traveling dog, and some rats named Grumpy, Sleepy, and Sister Heartache.



Sweet Wednesday brings their unique blend of folk/rock to Eureka Springs on Tuesday, July 8th, at 7 p.m., for a performance as part of the Americana Concerts Music Series at Gavioli Chapel.

Americana House Concert with Uncle Monk 6-19

June 19th come and see our third Americana House Concert at the 1901 Gavioli Chapel. This is an all ages show, with a $12 cover featuring Uncle Monk;

Uncle Monk is an alt-country/indie-bluegrass duo featuring Tommy Ramone on vocals, mandolin, guitar, banjo and dobro, and Claudia Tienan on vocals, guitar and bass. Uncle Monk's music is rooted in old-time and bluegrass influences. To this mix they have added unique musical textures to create a sound with a new sensibility. Tommy Ramone began his musical career as Tom Erdelyi an engineer at the Record Plant recording studios. In the musical doldrums of the 70's he, along with the great Johnny, Joey and Dee Dee Ramone, formed the rock group Ramones and participated in the birth of New Wave, Punk Rock, and Alternative music. As manager, producer and drummer for the band, Tommy Ramone helped create the sound, style and ideology for what was to become modern rock. Claudia Tienan, formerly with the group The Simplistics, is a partner with Tommy Ramone in Uncle Monk. Her penetrating lyrics and haunting vocals add facets and dimension to the songs. The music of the two artist complement each other. There is a Yin and Yang sensibility at work, a touch of light and dark, of bitter and sweet.
