NOTES OF INTEREST:



-Pick up your entry forms for the Christmas decoration contest at the CAPC office, the Chamber of Commerce or City Hall. Forms must be turned in to the CAPC office by November 14 to be considered for judging.

-Veterans Day events: Local vets are invited to Shawbee's Big Dawg Saloon on Thursday November 15 for free dinner. Please call 253-5522 for reservations.

November 11 will mark the opening of a new exhibit at the Historical Museum focusing on the roles of local residents in service to the country.

There will be a Veterans Day observance at the American Legion Post on Holiday Island Sunday November 11 at 11:00 am.



-Carroll County poet David Zimmermann will sign his just released book
of provocative and stirring poems, "Dissipated Assets," at the Cottage
Inn on Monday, November 12 from 3 - 7 p.m. Zimmermann is a long-time
artist, antiques dealer and Carroll County resident who refuses to
