Rules and Regulations:

· Deadline for entry is September 21st, 2007.

* $20.00 entry fee must accompany submission. Make checks or money orders payable to: Eureka Springs Festival Office
* CD of songs to be entered into contest (up to 3 songs,) accompanied by lyric sheets
* Contest open to amateur and professional songwriters. Employees of CAPC, their families, subsidiaries or affiliates are not eligible.
* Songs will be judged upon submission and the top six songwriters/performers will be scheduled to perform in a finals competition in Basin Park on Saturday, October 13th.
* Winners will be chosen by a select panel of judges. The festival organizers have no control over judging. The decision of the judges is final.
* All bands will be judged as they play in the Basin Park Band Shell at a time determined in advance by the contest committee. You will be notified about the schedule as soon as it is determined.
* Each band must play at least three (3) tunes, no more than five (5). Each band will have a limit of 10 minutes or the end of their selections: whichever comes first. Audience response is not considered in judging.
* Judges reserve the right to request a playoff in case of a tie.
* By entering the contest, all musicians agree to release to the Eureka Springs Festival Office all rights and privileges to use likenesses (still pictures, videos, audio recordings or any other medium deemed necessary) for the purpose of future event promotion.
* The City of Eureka Springs and the Eureka Springs Festival Office reserve the right to make changes in rules and operational procedures so as to promote a fair and equitable contest and will not be held responsible for any inconveniences imposed upon contestants or others for doing so.
* The winner of this year's contest will receive $300
