Community News of Interest:
-POINSETTIA PROJECT: Orders now being taken for holiday Poinsettias. Proceeds benefit Habitat for Humanity and ECHO. Call 253-9727. Four delivery dates available.

-November 6-9: Eureka Springs Historical Museum exhibit, "History of the Ozark Folk Festival" 9:30-4:00 Monday-Saturday and 11:00-3:30 on Sunday. 253-9417.

-Saturday November 8: Oak Hill Wildlife area trail cleanup and bonfire. Call 981-0829 for information.

-Saturday November 8: Boy, Girl and Cub Scouts begins their annual Scouting for Food drive. Call 253-9209 for information.

-Every Monday at 5:30 pm: Bellyogachi classes at Fire Om Earth Studios. 363-9402. Also on Wednesday at 9:30 am.

-Every Monday at 6:30 pm: Metaphysical Society of Arkansas meets at 68 W. Mountain St.

-Every Monday at 7:00 pm: 8-ball pool tournament in the billiards room atop the Basin Park Hotel.

-Monday and Thursday beginning at 6:00 pm, Yoga with Jack in The Space, across the street from the post office. There is also a gentle yoga class at the Berryville Community Center on Wednesday at 10:00 am. For additional info call 870-480-9148

-Every Thursday is Local's Night at the Grand Taverne in the Grand Central Hotel and Rick's Firehouse Pub on Main Street across from the courthouse.

-Noon: Catherine Reed performs on the balcony at the Basin Park Hotel.
-3:00 pm: Happy hour begins at the Lumberyard Bar and Grill and the Rowdy Beaver.
-5:00 pm: Open mic at the Squid and Whale.
-6:00 pm: Multi-user karaoke at Ollie's.
-6:30 pm: Rachel Fields performs at the New Delhi Café.
-7:00 pm: 61st Annual Original Ozark Folk Festival events begin with the Queen's Contest at THE Auditorium. This free event will include the Hedgehoppers, Greg Klyma, 3 Penny Acre, Noah Earle and of course the lovely, young ladies competing for the title of Folk Festival Queen.
-9:00 pm: Karaoke at Jack's Place.

FRIDAY:

-The Ozark Folk Festival continues today. Events will be listed in the appropriate time slot.
-Craftsman will be offering demonstrations in Basin Spring Park.
-Noon and 6:00 pm: The Hogscalders perform on the balcony at the Basin Park Hotel.
-2:00 pm: Live music on the patio at Eureka Live.
-2:00 pm: Folk Festival open mic in THE Gem, below THE Auditorium.
-3:00 pm: Happy hour begins at the Rowdy Beaver and the Lumberyard.
-The first of two Food and Wine Weekends begins today. Participants this weekend include:
Café Soleil, Pied Piper, Rogue's Manor, Castle Rogue's Manor, Crystal Dining Room, Tummy Ticklers, Local Flavor, Grand Taverne, Booze Bros. Liquor, Autumn Breeze and the New Delhi Café. Please call the business of choice for reservations and other information.
-6:00 pm: Arkansas Red performs at the Grand Central Hotel.
-6:30 pm: Mountain Sprout performs at the New Delhi Café.

-1:00 pm: Still on the Hill performs in THE Auditorium. A free Folk Festival event.
-2:00 pm: Live music on the patio at Eureka Live.
-2:00 pm: Folk Festival Parade begins. Participants should be at the library at 1:00 to line up.
-3:00 pm: The Prospects perform at the New Delhi Café.
-3:00 pm: Jeff Lee performs at the Art Colony on North Main Street.
-4:00 pm: Songwriters in the Round at THE Auditorium. $17.00 per person. Please call 253-7788 for tickets and information about weekend packages.
-6:00 pm: The Prospects perform at Chelsea's Pub and Café.
-6:00 pm: Pete Maica performs at Mud Street Café.
