CALENDAR OF EVENTS MAY 17-23, 2007

Please note: Many May Festival of the Arts events will be listed here. Because there are so many fun things to do, I may miss something. It is not intentional. Please refer to www.theticketplace.org for up-to-the-minute schedules or, call us 253-7788, 253-7333, 253-2586

NOTES OF INTEREST:

-ATTENTION INNKEEPERS: Please let us know if you have availability during Blues Festival Weekend (May 31-June 3) Email me (Karen@eurekasprings.org) or THE Auditorium (info@theaud.org) if you have vacancies. We would like to give our guests phone numbers where rooms are actually available.

-2008 Marketing Support Funds (seed) applications are available at the CAPC office. Any request for funding of special events must be turned in by October 1, 2007.

-Every Wednesday at 9:30 am, Bellyogachi classes at Firm Om Earth Studios. 363-9402.

-Every Thursday beginning at 4:00, Ureeka Dancers invites locals and visitors to "Dance Alive," at Eureka Live. Dancing for fun and exercise, learn new steps! Casual setting. Call Dan at 479-239-4466 for more info or just show up! Bring your friends and make new ones.

-Every Thursday is Local's Appreciate Night at the Grand Taverne in the Grand Central Hotel.

-Every Tuesday and Thursday 7:00 am-noon: The ..:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Eureka Springs Farmers Market at Pine Mountain Village.

-Monday and Thursday beginning at 6:00 pm, Yoga with Jack in The Space, across the street from the post office. Also Monday at 3:00 pm at Holiday Island. Please call 870-480-9148 for additional information.

-Month long art exhibits include (but not limited to); Works by Bill Westerman at Eureka Thyme, "Faces" at Main Stage, "The Performers" at THE Auditorium, Jody Stephenson and Mr. Shrine at Community Bank, works by David Walker at EureKan Art.

-Noon: Catherine Reed performs on the balcony of the Basin Park Hotel.

-3:00 pm: Happy Hour with Mary at the Lumberyard Bar and Grill. Karaoke begins at 9:00.

-6:00 pm: The Hogscalders perform at the Pied Piper Pub.

-6:00 pm: Catherine Reed performs returns to the balcony at the Basin Park Hotel.

-6:30 pm: East Indian Soup Buffet at the New Delhi Café.

-6:00 pm: Crosstown Richard back on the balcony of the Basin Park Hotel.

-6:30 pm: POETluck at the Writer's Colony at Dairy Hollow. 253-7444.

-8:30 pm: Mountain Sprout performs at the Pied Piper.

-2:30 pm: The Mountain Gypsies perform in Basin Spring Park.

-4:00 pm: The 17th Annual White Street Studio Walk begins. Artists' show and sale. Tour artists homes and studios. This really fun event is over at 10:00.

-6:00 pm: Michael Breid performs at the Grand Central Hotel.

-6:00 pm: War Eagle Mill products fish fry at the Balcony Restaurant in the Basin Park Hotel. Entertainment by the Hogscalders.

-6:30 pm: Maia Archote Band performs at the New Delhi Café.

-Don O'Barr performs at the Angler's Grill.

-7:30 pm: Jerry Runner-Smith performs at the Rowdy Beaver.

-8:00 pm: Ballroom dancing on the top floor of the Basin Park Hotel.

-8:00 pm: Catherine Reed performs in Dr. Baker's Lounge at the Crescent Hotel.

-Jackson Parton Acoustic Trio perform at Henri's.

SATURDAY:

-9:00 am: Jimmy Evans Golf Classic at Kings River Golf Course. Please call 253-6700 for info.

-2:00 pm: Tours begin at Rogue's Manor Castle. Entertainment provided by Talat and Acra Turner. This is a free event.

-2:00 pm: Artist Jack Miller demonstrates his work at the Art Colony.

-2:30 pm: The Ariels perform in Basin Spring Park.

-6:00 pm: The Gallery Stroll begins along Spring Street and other galleries around town. Look for the purple and black flags for special exhibits, receptions with the artists and demonstrations. A partial list of exhibits include:
