CALENDAR OF EVENTS MARCH 6-12, 2008

Notes of Interest:

-Open House: The "Patriots Herald" invites you to their new offices in Pine Mountain Village. (Next door to the ice cream shop) 2-5:00 pm today! Refreshments will be served.

-THE Auditorium still has limited rack card space available in its office for businesses interested in displaying their information. Call 253-7788. Also, Friends of THE Aud fundraiser hoodies and long sleeve shirts are now available.

-St. Patrick's Day Parade entry forms are available online at www.parade.ureeka.org This year's parade will roll on Saturday March 15th at 2:00 pm. Call 981-9551 for additional information.

-An improv comedy troupe is forming in Eureka Springs. Experience is not required, but a willingness to learn is essential. The yet to be named group meets at Main Stage on Tuesday nights from 6-8 p.m., resuming March 18. If you have questions, call Ken Rundel at 479-253-7333.

-Arkansas is having the 38th state Al-Anon convention in DeGray Lake State Park on March 14-16, 2008. The Eureka Springs group has been asked to provide an item for the silent auction to be awarded at the end of the weekend. The winning bid will support the Arkansas Al-Anon Service Office. We would like to offer a Eureka Springs vacation package that includes:
*Two weekend nights (or three weekday nights) lodging for a couple, subject to availability, in a B&B or motel. The provider can exclude particular weeks or weekends from use.
*Two evening meals for two people.
*Admission to events, sights, shows, attractions.
*Any available souvenirs of the vacation, such as a bag or t-shirt or hat.

-4:00 pm: Registration begins for the 26th Annual Victorian Classic. Packet pick-up and reception for runners at Inn of the Ozarks Convention Center.

-6:00 pm: Arkansas Red performs at the Grand Central Hotel.

-6:30 pm: Mountain Sprout performs at the New Delhi Café.

-7:30 pm: Opening night for the Ozark Mountain Hoedown and Pine Mountain Jamboree music shows.

-11:00 am: Super Soup at the high school cafeteria. An annual event to benefit the Eureka Springs Historical Museum. Local chefs prepare soup, bread and dessert.

$6.00 for adults and $3.00 for children.

-6:30 pm: Mountain Sprout performs at the New Delhi Café.
