CALENDAR OF EVENTS: APRIL 17-23, 2008

Notes of Interest:

-Did you know? You can print just the What's New events without the additional announcements? Just go to the calendar, www.eurekasprings.org/events and click on "A Week's Worth." "What's New" is compiled and sent out via email every Thursday before noon (usually) and covers events and activities thru the following Wednesday. -EARTH DAY PARADE! Sunday April 20 at 2:00 pm. Everyone is invited to participate. No registration required, just show up about 1:20 at the Library for line up. NO GASOLINE-POWERED VEHICLES. (It's EARTH Day!) The parade will end at Basin Spring Park for speakers and music.

-FREE RIDE!! In celebration of Earth Day in Eureka Springs, any and all trolley rides will be free of charge during regular operating hours on Sunday April 20. Call 253-9572 for more info.

-MONTH LONG ART EXHIBIT featuring Robert Glick at Peacock Studio and Gallery.

-Plans are underway for the Eureka Springs Preservation Society Garden Tour scheduled for June 14. If you are interested in participating, please call Barb at 253-9111.

-America in Bloom: Local gardens contest entry applications are available at the Chamber of Commerce in Pine Mountain Village. Judging will take place May 14-16. Please call 253-2227 (Georgette Garner) or 253-9703 (Glenna Booth) for additional information.

-Every Monday at 6:30 pm: Metaphysical Society of Arkansas meets at 68 W. Mountain St.

-Every Wednesday at 9:30 am, Bellyogachi classes at Fire Om Earth Studios. Also on Monday beginning at 5:30 pm. 363-9402.

-Every Thursday is Local's Appreciation Night at the Grand Taverne in the Grand Central Hotel.

-Every Tuesday and Thursday: Tai Chi at 9:30 am at Fire Om Earth Studios. 363-9402.

-Monday and Thursday beginning at 6:00 pm, Yoga with Jack in The Space, across the street from the post office.

-Every Thursday: ESKATE on Passion Play Road will offer 18 years old and up skating from 7-10PM. Roller disco to music from the 70's, 80's and 90's. Contests and prizes for just the big kids. 253-7762.

-3:00 pm: Happy Hour at the Rowdy Beaver.
-6:00 pm: Multi-user karaoke at Ollies.
-Acoustic jam and open mic at Eureka Live.
