Notes of Interest:

-The Open House and Ribbon Cutting beginning at 5:00 pm at Sugar Mountain Resort in the Beaver Lake area is cancelled today, due to weather. Re-scheduled for NEXT Thursday, April 10.

-WATCH FOR BICYCLE RIDERS: The Fayetteville Wheelman Bicycle Club will be in town this weekend. They will be arriving around noon Friday and Saturday via Highway 23 South. Each group could have as many as 20 riders. BE CAREFUL DRIVERS!!

-MAIN STREET MARKET IS NOW OPEN!! In the heart of North Main shopping district overlooking the creek. (On the deck of the former Creekside Café.) Local, handmade art & crafts. Open Thursday thru Sunday 9am-4pm. For information about showing your art/crafts call Janet at 363-9204 or email

-Name that Garment! Mark Hughes, owner/designer of Regalia Handmade Clothing

needs help naming his new Spring/Summer line. (8 new garments, 8 new names.) "Contestants" are displayed in the shop window at 128 Spring St. Ballots are available at the shop and winners will be notified by phone on April 11. Each winner wins the garment they named. -Spring/Summer Insert will begin circulation Sunday April 6. The insert will be placed in newspapers in 30 cities in seven states as well as every daily and weekly newspaper in Arkansas.

-America in Bloom: Local gardens contest entry applications are available at the Chamber of Commerce in Pine Mountain Village. Judging will take place May 14-16. Please call 253-2227 (Georgette Garner) or 253-9703 (Glenna Booth) for additional information.
