Arbor Day In Eureka Springs

Come celebrate trees and nature with us in Eureka Springs!

April 25th we will have our Arbor Day celebration in Basin Spring Park, with music, speakers, and a tree planting by the Mayor.

The music starts at 11am with Cross-eyed Child followed by Jeff Lee, Jones Van Jones, and Catherine Reed. At 3pm, we will have a special performance from the students of Clear Springs Elementary School, of their Environmental Superheroes Song. They will be followed by the Eureka Street Buskers at 3:15pm before the American Legion "Posting of the Colors". Then we will have a Proclamation from Mayor Dani Joy before she plants the first of 40 Dogwood trees donated by The Passion Play, followed by more music from Melissa & Blayne.

We will also have guest speaker Al Einert, arborist and former U of A professor, who will be sharing his expertise with us. There will also be venders set up in the park all day with information and goods from the farmers market, Blue Springs Heritage Center, arborist information, and a display of nature photography.

It should be a great day of good music and an excellent way to learn more about what we can do to be earth friendly, since it is our only home.
