CALENDAR OF EVENTS JULY 10-16, 2008

NOTES OF INTEREST:

-It's time to sign up for Yards and Yards of Yard Sales. The two-day event begins on August 1st. $15.00 registration fee. To be included on the map, go to the Chamber of Commerce no later that July 21. 253-8737.

-Drop-in classes are offered at Main Stage Creative Community Center thru August 15. Several class times, as well as lunch options are available. Call 253-8060 for information.

-Every Monday at 6:30 pm: Metaphysical Society of Arkansas meets at 68 W. Mountain St.

-Every Monday at 7:00 pm: 8-ball pool tournament in the billiards room atop the Basin Park Hotel.

-Monday and Thursday beginning at 6:00 pm, Yoga with Jack in The Space, across the street from the post office. There is also a gentle yoga class at the Berryville Community Center on Wednesday at 10:00 am. For additional info call 870-480-9148

-Every Tuesday and Thursday: Tai Chi at 9:30 am at Fire Om Earth Studios. 363-9402.

-Every Tuesday and Thursday: 7:00 am-12:00 pm Eureka Springs Farmers Market at the former Eureka Screams Theatre on Hwy 23 South.

-Every Wednesday at 9:30 am, Bellyogachi classes at Fire Om Earth Studios. Also on Monday beginning at 5:30 pm. 363-9402.

-Every Wednesday at 8:00 pm: Poker tournament in the billiards room atop the Basin Park Hotel.

-Every Thursday is Local's Night at the Grand Taverne in the Grand Central Hotel and Rick's Firehouse Pub on Main Street across from the courthouse.

-Every Thursday: ESKATE on Passion Play Road will offer 18 years old and up skating from 7-10PM. Roller disco to music from the 70's, 80's and 90's. Contests and prizes for just the big kids. 253-7762.

-10:00 am: 9th Annual Eureka Springs Bike Show begins at the Iron Horse Stables.
-10:00 am: Bee-Bop dance contest and Winnie-the-Pooh at the Carnegie Public Library. Today's program is suitable for pre-school age children.
-Noon: Live music begins in Basin Spring Park. Today's performers include; UMZIMBA, Rachel Fields, Mountain Sprout, Jeff Lee and Anna Horton.
-Noon and 6:00 pm: Crosstown Richard performs on the balcony at the Basin Park Hotel.
-1:00 pm: 2nd Saturday (afternoon) Gallery Stroll begins at Iris at the Basin Park.
-2:00 pm: Live entertainment on the patio at Eureka Live.
-2:30 pm: "Colors of Nature." Interactive, guided hike at Withrow Springs State Park. 479-559-2593
-5:30 pm: "Skins and Skulls." Interactive lecture about furry creatures that live in the woods at Withrow Springs State Park.
-6:00 pm: 2nd Saturday Gallery Stroll begins. Participating galleries include (but not limited to…) 83 Spring Street, Fusion Squared, Eureka Fine Art Co., The Jewel Box, Quicksilver, Zarks, Eclectic Edge, Iris at the Basin Park and Al Hooks Gallery. Ask about "Free Parking!"
-6:30 pm: Some Guy Named Robb performs at the New Delhi Café.

-8:30 pm: "Eye Spy." Guided, interactive nighttime hike at Withrow Springs State Park. Learn to identify nighttime woodland creatures just by looking at their eyes.
