Calendar of Events for Sept 25 - Oct 1

NOTES OF INTEREST:

-A visitor by the name of SHARON NEELY has reservations in Eureka Springs for the nights of October 12-17. Due to hurricane Ike, she is unable to come to town and has lost all records. If you have a booking for this lady, please call her at 281-290-9231 or the Chamber (253-8737) or me (253-7333.)

-A few special visitors in town you might want to be aware of…

The Tulsa Antique Car Club is staying at the Quality Inn, arriving Saturday. 10 cars, 21 people.

The Arkansas County Clerks Association is staying at the Best Western Eureka Inn. 65 people (are here now.)

Bikes, Blues and Bar-B-Que is underway in Fayetteville. Expect overflow and heavy traffic. A lot of these visitors are lodging in Eureka Springs.

The Red Octopus Comedy Troupe from Little Rock arrives on Friday. They will perform at Eureka Live on Saturday.

-"CitiScapes" magazine "Best of Northwest Arkansas" edition is underway. Go to www.bestofnwar.com and blast them with Eureka Springs' best of everything!

-Bone Appetite participants: Watch for the big, red bone in the windows of restaurants donating part of their proceeds to the Good Shepherd Animal Shelter. Please call 253-9115 if your restaurant would like to join in…

New Delhi Café-Every Thursday from 3:00 until closing.

- Commemorate your best friend(s) - Is your dog, kitty, hamster, snake... included in the Good Shepherd Humane Society's 2009 pet calendar? -Every Monday at 6:30 pm: Metaphysical Society of Arkansas meets at 68 W. Mountain St.



-Every Monday at 7:00 pm: 8-ball pool tournament in the billiards room atop the Basin Park Hotel.



-Monday and Thursday beginning at 6:00 pm, Yoga with Jack in The Space, across the street from the post office. There is also a gentle yoga class at the Berryville Community Center on Wednesday at 10:00 am. For additional info call 870-480-9148



-Every Tuesday and Thursday: 7:00 am-12:00 pm Eureka Springs Farmers Market at the former Eureka Screams Theatre on Hwy 23 South. Community Day October 2. -Noon and6:00 pm: The Hogscalders perform on the balcony at the Basin Park Hotel.

-2:00 pm: Live music on the patio at Eureka Live.

-3:00 pm: Happy hour begins at the Lumberyard and Rowdy Beaver.

-4:00 pm: The 5th Annual Red Star Ancestors Memorial Gourd Dance and Pow-Wow begins at Blue Spring Heritage Center. Please call 253-9244 for more information.

-Noon: David Singleton performs on the balcony at the Basin Park Hotel.

-2:00 pm: Live entertainment on the patio at Eureka Live.

-4:00 pm: Jeff Lee performs at the Art Colony on North Main Street.

-6:00 pm: Maureen Alexander performs on the balcony at the Basin Park Hotel.
