Fall in the Ozarks

It is difficult to predict when the foliage in the Ozarks will start to turn. Historically, the last week of October through the second week of November is the peak time for fall colors in our ample woods. With all of the rain we've had this year, the colors should be spectacular!

This year, many of the old timers in the area are predicting an early and hard winter. With an early winter possible, an early fall is very likely. We are already experiencing fall like temperatures of highs in the 70's and lows in the 50's with an occasional 80+ day in the mix.

Fall in the Ozarks is a beautiful time and Eureka Springs is one of the best places to experience it. There are several events scheduled for Eureka Springs all the way through December. Be sure to check out http://www.eurekasprings.org or http://www.eurekaspringschamber.com for information on what is going on in and around Eureka Springs, Arkansas.
